We purchased a new home and were looking for interior designers for the same. I came across Homelane's ad and out of curiosity wanted to check what they did. On your first visit, they are very sweet and friendly people. Then they start calling you ** times a day and try to convince you of the fact that they deliver within ** days and provide a **-year warranty on all the furniture after * meetings we were thinking of finalizing them and they made us pay an advance of *****. After that, they started showing their true color. These people are the least professional and don't care about the consumer. Their quotes are very complicated and very difficult to understand. They add the same items to the quote and hope that it goes unnoticed therefore looting the customer of their hard-earned money. You ask them to make a little tweak in the design and they tell you the price will be increased. All in all, you don't have any free will after paying them the advance. Their designer is the least professional. Every time they visit the site they will say there was some mistake in measurement and due to which the price has increased. These are just ways to get extra money out of the customer. Then came to the final part of the act, they always emphasize the fact that they provide ** years warranty so after everything was finalized they send us an agreement to sign, but to my surprise, in the agreement, it was written that only * years of warranty is provided that to depreciating. We asked our designer about this and first, she said that no **-year warranty is provided, but I asked her to recheck, and then she called back saying that only a *-year warranty is provided. This was when we decided to withdraw and demanded a refund on the advance paid, but they denied saying that the advance is non-refundable. They miscommunicated the terms and condition and therefore they should refund the advance paid to them, the designer herself was not aware of the company policies how are we supposed. It was my biggest mistake walking into Homelane.
