On **.**.**** I had booked hotel River View Retreat, Jim Corbette National Park for the period **.**.**** to **.**.****. Then on **.**.**** I came to know that govt. may declare complete lock down on account of COVID-** for **.**.****, so I requested Goibibo to change the booking dates to **.**.**** to **.**.****.
However the lock down continued beyond March **** and is continuing till date therefore, it became impossible for me to avail the hotel facility on **.**.****. So I requested Goibibo to refund the booking amount of Rs. *****/-.
Vide email dated **.**.**** Goibibo assured me that refund of Rs. *****/- will be made within *-* working days however no refund was made even after passing one week. So I again requested the Goibibo and vide email dated **.**.**** I was told that due to some technical error refund could not be processed and now within ** days refund will be made.
When the refund was not made even after passing ** days then I requested again vide email dated **.**.**** for refund. Though I had sent the email on the same address from which I was assured of refund, but this time system generated email was sent to me that you are sending email on unresponsive email address of Goibibo. I have twice tried to contact Goibibo through email but no response has been made by them except the system generated email that you are contacting unresponsive address.
I have also tried to get the issue resolved through their customer care helpline number, but the IVR system does not entertain my request. I have installed Goibibo App on my phone and have sent messages to them but from there also no positive response has been received so far.
I feel cheated with the misconduct of Goibibo. It appears that intentions of Goibibo have gone dishonest and it wants to illegally usurp my booking amount.
Kindly initiate appropriate action against Goibibo for its unprofessional, unethical and illegal act and direct it to refund my booking amount.
