Initially, I purchased my Dell Vostro Laptop for Rs **,***/-. It had serious hardware issues, for which I had to get that unit repaired * or * times but even then it's still not working fine. Then I tried to replace my product, hoping that this time, I would get the replaced laptop that works without any flaws and provides the premium experience that I paid for. But, the one I received was also faulty with a serious Display issue. I tried to get that fixed, but it's not resolved, no matter how hard we tried. It is then, I realized that I received two faulty units and both of them were having intense hardware issues and are not up to the mark. As it is a matter of quality of the product, I was promised a replacement for the second time, by the Dell Team. I surrendered the faulty laptop on the Dell Team's Demand.
The Dell Team said that they would deliver the new Unit in * weeks. I constantly reached out to the Dell Team after * weeks. The Team did not respond at all. After a series of emails from our side, they would respond once in a while and those emails would have only vague information stating that they are still not sure about the replacement of the new Unit. Even after constant effort and emails from our side to get the current status, we were always kept in the shadows. After warning them that I would reach the Legal Authorities for this issue, they came up with another option of Refund. And then when we enquired about the refund of the product, they abruptly canceled my present replacement order without my consent. They asked for *-* days' time to give full information on the refund. And it’s been ** days ever since, and there is no information regarding the same. In these ** days, I became skeptical and tried reaching out to them with everything in my power - emails, customer service, and so on. There is no information from their side about the refund or replacement. They decided not to respond to my emails and left me no other options other than to approach Legal Authorities. As a consumer, it is highly annoying and dissatisfying to find myself in a perplexing situation not getting either the refund or the replacement.
In these * months of my time with Dell, I experienced severe mental agony, trying to get their faulty laptops repaired or replaced. Because of these issues, I was unable to concentrate on my studies and campus placements. After paying an amount of Rs **,***/- in full, now, I don’t have either the laptop or the refund.
