I had an AIRINDIA Flight from LONDON - DELHI (AI***) connecting flight DELHI - VADODARA (AI***) on **TH DEC **** with Master Dhairya Pathak (British Visa holder) son of landlady Ms. Kinjal Pathak in London.
Our both boarding passes (LONDON-DELHI-VADODARA) was issued by AIRINDIA staff in LONDON only. I requested her to give me through check-in baggage for both flight mentioning the short layover of * hour ** minutes and have ** year old boy with me and my age & heavy body with planter fascia problem not able to run fast. I may miss my flight but she refused saying that AIRINDIA has changed its policy of through check-in baggage, so I have to collect my baggage in Delhi and once again have to board to connecting flight. She assured me that I will not miss my flight as she is issuing me both flight boarding passes.
My flight landed at *.**am on ** Dec **** at Delhi International Airport. I rushed with ** year old to get with both immigration (Indian for myself & foreign for ** year boy with me) in b*oth immigrations que was huge about ** to ** people lane. I started requesting people to give me first chance to get immigration clear as I have a flight and people helped me and immigration officer too helped me but it took ** minutes (*.** am). Then we both started running to collect the baggage from belt. Again on one belt * flight baggage loaded so it took our ** minutes to collect baggage (*.** am). now we started running from baggage area to boarding counter of AIRINDIA for check-in baggage by requesting que to let us go first and we completed by *.** am. Once again our race started from their for security check. Here the same huge que, we requested people one by one and first they objected later they allowed us to go first. But the irony is when I requested to AIRINDIA staff they didn’t helped us to clear first we have to wait for ** minutes to clear security (*.**am) and from security area we have to reach at gate no ** (the last gate of Delhi Airport) and after facing breathing problem & pain in legs we reached the Gate no ** at *. **am and the gate was closed. I requested many times staff to call & hold the flight he refused and told me to go to AIRINDIA reservation counter at Gate no *. (In this whole duration there was no last call or announcement or sms or email from AIRINDIA.)
Then we started the new process of exit with AIRINDIA staff and reached the Reservation Counter and requested for next flight for VADODARA here comes new problem he said that there is no seats available for today (** Dec ****) . There is only one flight has the seat WHICH IS ON ** Dec **** evening flight. I said I have to reach today please look if you can give flight for AHMEDABAD, he again told me that there is no seats available for AHMEDABAD too. Then I ask will AIRINDIA provide a hotel stay to take next day evening flight then also he refused and said there is no policy to provide hotel. Once again I ask for refund as it was Airline fault that knowing passenger has boarded they didn’t took care of the passenger to get clear on priority and not even given last call too , he refused that they cannot refund too as it’s not their fault .He said you can book your flight with another airlines to reach Vadodara.
We had no other option and booked another flight from INDIGO for AHMEDABAD and paid flight cost of Rs.***** for * of us by bearing extra cost for our luggage rs***** too. and after reach Vadodara I got ill for * days.
Therefore we face so much pain harassment & loss due to negligence of AIRINDIA Staff & Policy, Feeling cheated by Airlines too.
Looking forward for prompt & responsible action by AIRINDIA compensate my financial loss, as pain & humiliation can’t be recovered.
