On **thof July **** we visited Centrio mall Dehradun, while shopping at Spencers store a person approached my wife stating that we can get free movie tickets and free holidays voucher for selected hotels across India. It was promised that it’s just for brand promotion purpose and nothing is being sold to us. We went ahead and my wife gave her number to the sales person. From next day itself we started getting calls and messages from the sales team to attend the seminar at the Red Fox hotel Dehradun, we initially refused since we were quite tied up on the **th/**st July weekend. But the calls and messages didn’t stop. The sales person made promises that nothing will be sold just ** minutes of your time and you will get your free coupons. Finally after so many follow-ups we reached Red Fox hotel Dehradun at *:** pm (**st July ****).
We met Mr. Rahul sales person and his senior Mr. Deepak at Red Fox hotel. These two persons kept coming one after another with their sales pitch to take up Park Holiday International membership to which we clearly refused. After about an hour (around *:** pm when sales pitch was not ending) we got up from our seats and asked for exit form since it was quite late and we didn’t have our dinner plus our * year old twins who accompanied us were hungry. All the time they kept saying if you wish to leave you can leave and we will not force you just fill our exit form. We filled the form but they didn’t accept it and came to us with higher discounts. We requested to give us one day so that we can search about the company because this was for the first time we were listening about Park International holidays but we were told Sir its take it or leave it offer, once you leave the room all the discounts stand invalid. All the while the terms and conditions were not explained properly inspite of us asking them. We were never told upto what age kids are free, what will be the charges if we want to terminate our membership and annual maintenance charges will increase as per company’s wish. We were told you join with Rs.* down payment and the whole amount which final came to Rs.*,**,*** would be equally distributed in ** months EMI with *% interest. And finally around *:**pm when we were really tired we gave up and signed for the ** years membership. We were asked to pay Rs.**** down payment (which initially they said *) and rest swipe the card for Rs.*,**,***. Again before paying any amount we asked what if we change our mind tomorrow and they said sir all your amount would be refunded at the max **% GST amount from Rs.**** would be deducted (that too may be but not sure) so we went ahead and gave initial Rs. **** through UPI and my ICICI bank credit card was swiped for Rs. *,**,***. We left from there around **:**pm.
The next day morning (**nd July ****) when we checked about the reviews of the company Park Holiday International we were shocked to see so many negative reviews with people complaining about the services and all false promises made by sales team. We immediately spoke with Mr. Rahul in the morning and told him about our decision to which he said will talk in the evening since today its their off day and he asked to attend the verification call without fail. During the day I received the verification call to which I refused and in the evening Mr. Rahul called and asked why I refused the verification call and I told him that we don’t want to continue. He tried to convince me but I refused and then he said our **% amount would be deducted from Rs. *,**,*** since we are refusing within a week and we were shocked and he said read Terms and Conditions. When we reminded him to what he had promised, he said he can’t do anything since we have signed the documents. After the call I messaged his senior Mr. Deepak as well as Mr. Rahul that we want to discontinue. Meantime I spoke at my ICICI bank and asked them to stop the payment to which they said that EMI charges too have been levied, on my speaking with them they reversed the charges and put the amount on dispute for time being, but said eventually I will have to pay unless Park Holidays International reverses them.
The Park Holidays International sales team tried to influence us to agree on verification call and go for holidays after that cancel the membership or even just attend verification call and we will get the refund. But we refused.
Next day (**rd July ****) onwards we started following up with Park Holidays International office on the email ID and phone numbers provided on brochure. We even asked them about the cooling off period which we usually have whenever we go into an agreement where a buyer can cancel the agreement within given time frame without penalty, to which initially they agreed they have cooling off period of ** days but later on refused to entertain the same. Finally after long fight they gave us two options:
*. Reduce ** years membership to * years membership and over here we came to know about additional charges for kids after certain age which was not discussed during out meeting
*. Amount will be refunded after deducting **% amount from Rs. *,**,***, but why should I pay GST when I have not taken the service.

We feel cheated and mentally harassed by Park Holiday International we want our full refund plus we need compensation for the pain we have been through and legal expenses.
