Apollo Cradle - Medical Negligence

I would like to bring your attention towards a gross medical negligence we faced as a customer from -Apollo Cradle Hospital, Sector **, Gurugram, Haryana which may have some adverse and irreversible effects on our baby daughter (* year old now), which only time will tell. This whole episode has left us mentally traumatized for the future growth and development of our child.

When our baby was born at the above mentioned hospital and under their medical supervision on **th of June, ****, the new born screening test was done by the hospital itself on the *nd day of birth, but its result was shared with us only after * month by one of the doctors from that hospital, who informed us that the thyroid TSH value of your baby has come to be extremely high (TSH = ***) and she needs immediate medical attention. It was only after these events and by the expert opinions of several other Endocrinologists and Pediatricians that we came to know that our baby is suffering from Congenital Hypothyroidism (CH).
As per the medical standards all over the world, in such cases medication should be started well before the first * weeks of the birth or it may lead to some serious and irreversible damage to the baby.
Interestingly, we stayed at the hospital for * days after the delivery during which we were examined by numerous doctors of the same hospital, but nobody cared to ask for the test results.
The hospital advised us to visit for a follow up examination by their pediatrician in a few days time after being discharged, so we met him on **th July **** (* week after being discharged) but somehow, he also failed to ask for the thyroid profile test report which was done by their hospital only and neither did he bothered to inform us about any such pending report.
As a result, * month got wasted by this negligence, which was extremely crucial for the overall physical & mental development of the baby.

Hence, I would like to conclude by saying that it is their (Apollo Cradle's) legal and moral obligation to arrange for the best medical treatments and pay for its cost, as and when required so that my baby can lead a normal healthy life and escape the ill fate of delay in treatment which she has been subjected to by their actions and sheer negligence.
