My name is Kunal Raj Bhoi. I purchased a Dell Inspiron **** i* laptop for my studies. I ordered the laptop from Amazon, and it was delivered to me on June **th. The next day, I encountered a sound issue, so I called the technical team to request a replacement. I explained that I had just bought a new laptop and wanted it replaced due to the mistake. However, they refused and instead convinced me to upgrade the system, assuring me that it would solve the minor issue.
Despite their assurances, the problem persisted, and I faced issues with my laptop even during my classes. I didn't take further action at that time because I was told that the technical team was there to address any problems. In November, I faced another issue where my laptop stopped working. The technical team instructed me to reinstall the operating system, which I did.
In January, the sound issue recurred on January **nd, and I contacted the technical team again. They once again had the operating system reinstalled. Despite having gone through this process twice before, the issue remained unresolved. Finally, they replaced the speaker, but the problem persisted, and a technician sent by them confirmed that the issue was real. The technician suggested reinstalling the OS again, but after the call, there was no follow-up.
After waiting the whole day for the technician who never showed up, I called multiple times without receiving any response. When I contacted the technical team again, they suggested installing the OS, but I declined since I had already gone through the same process three times. They assured me that they would arrange for a resolution, but even after seven days, my problem remains unresolved.
I suggested to the technical team that they either refund my money or replace the product, as I had requested a replacement the day after purchasing the laptop, citing issues with the product. However, they refused, claiming it was against their terms and conditions. Dell is neither resolving my issue nor providing a replacement or refund. It seems like they are taking advantage of the situation, causing harassment to the customer. Dell appears to be solely concerned with selling its products and indifferent to whether customers face issues or not.
