Pepperfry furniture - I am asking for refund then take back damaged item

I order sofa cum bed from pepperfry studio and made full payment via UPI. I got order delivery on *rd of August. The item delivered is having a defect inside for which I raised for a replacement. They accepted that its defective and instead of full item replacement they sent only that piece for assembly. When carpenter arrived he told that the assembly is not matching the the measurement of original item and he left and closed the ticket. Now I have both original and assembly unit in my house. As both of no use I decided to return everything and raised a return order. After all this I have no trust that they will return my money or full amount to my original mode of payment for that I am asking to do refund first and take back the item. But they are saying they have to pickup the item and only after *-** days they do the refund. When initially I asked the same they miscommunicated that the refund will be done only to pepperfry wallet which I was not accepting.
