Booked two floors of Hotel rooms (** rooms on *th Jan **** for a family event from **th Jan to *st Feb **** and only * rooms on **th Jan **** and *nd Feb **** after checking * available rooms and on the condition that all the rooms are in proper liveable condition. Paid the advance of Rs. **,***. On **th Jan ****, upon the inspection * more rooms, found to my dismay that they were in bad condition. The rooms were stinking, the walls were moist and soaked in patches, the linen were old and stinking. Moreover, the corridors were untidy with mopping sticks and soiled linen lying on the floor and the entire hotel was filled with lingering cigarette odour. I found the rooms were not clean and tidy, unhealthy and unhygienic for the families, especially for women and kids for a stay of * days. Bought this immediately to the notice of the owner and asked for the cancellation of booking of the rooms, which is ** days in advance, as per the cancellation rules and return the advance paid. But he declined to do so, saying the advance is non-refundable and as per his hotel policy there is no cancellation of rooms. I drafted a written complaint and handed it over to the owner over the hotel counter, which he refused to take. Then I sent it to the hotel by registered post. After that I had to go around hunting for hotel rooms and had to pay more for reserving the same. Help me to get the justice.
