hitachi - Fridge compressor under guarantee not replaced

I had lodged a complaint for my Hitachi Fridge vide complaint no. ********** on **th. In response a technician visited on **th and conveyed that the compressor was at fault and required to be replaced. As the same was under guarantee, he conveyed that the defective part would be replaced by the company. However he conveyed that the compressor was not in supply and the delivery was expected only sometime towards the end of November

I wonder what type of international best practices insofar as customer support are followed by Hitachi if it may take *-* weeks for replacement of a part. What use is a warranty if we are forced to be without our fridge for the next * weeks.

I had also lodged a complaint via email on their customer care support on **th but have yet to receive any response till **rd night.
