Arwa Tinwala filed complaint against Hdfc Bank on Jul 7, 2020
Respected Sir,
Request your kind attention on this escalated matter which I am bringing to your attention due to unsatisfactory revert received from your concerned department. It is with regards to multiple fraudulent transactions happening in my saving account without my consent (in whichever manner) but your bank has passed on the entire bucket of negligence, irresponsibility & security breach on my part. I fail to understand how the Bank can pass such loose comments on such sensitive matters wherein the customer has lost his money & had no idea on what actually has happened from the beginning.
Gist of the case for understanding
A/c No: **************
A/c Name: Arwa Tinwala (**********)
- On *th june ****, *.**pm to *.** pm, * debits total to INR **,*** happened to the above mentioned a/c.
- Immediately on getting the debit SMS's, Bank was called upon at *:** pm & the card was blocked. Here it was also confirmed by the Bank representative that the last * transactions have been blocked & will not be processed.
- At **:** pm, i got a call from your transaction monitoring team (********) who confirmed that since the transactions are not confirmed by me they will be rejecting all of them & the amount will be credited back. It was informed to me that I need to visit the Branch to complete the normal procedure of form filling since the transactions had to be rejected.
- Visit to the branch on *th June gave me a surprise that the amounts will not be credited back only when the concerned team investigates the matter. Necessary forms were submitted & a police complaint was lodged as directed by your Kalina BM.
- It was told to me that the money will be credited back to my a/c in * days time but after * visits & a number of follow ups with your customer care I get a reply from your Kalina BM that the case has been closed stating that the loss remains as my liability.
This has come as a very big disappointment for me from such an esteemed Bank with whom I hold the relationship of ** long years. I am writing this to you since I need a serious attention & intervention for an appropriate solution specially when the Bank has confirmed on * occasions that the transactions has been rejected at the Banks end ( recorded lines can be referred here).Basis the above facts i request you to look in to my case with the correct spirit & arrange for credit of my hard earned money. I will be forced to push the matter further in case i don't hear it from you in a week's time to all other possible channels including the RBI Ombudsman.
If this is not addressed in a proper manner would like to close my account as I have lost all hope on HDFC
Even the grievance cell is sending Robotic replies to finish off their TAT no one is bothered to read the mails as well.
It is just copy paste mails.
