Indian Railways - Fraud by TTE or the Indian Railway system and challenging the repudiation of my TDR
SAYAN MAZUMDER filed complaint against Indian Railways on Oct 22, 2019
I booked a ticket on the 'ASR DBRG EXPRESS (*****)' for a journey on **th Oct. ****, having PNR No. **********, from Guwahati to Mariani. However later I was informed via. message that the train was late by almost * hours. Since it was urgent, so I decided to board one other train aka. 'Brahmaputra Mail' and make by journey on that very day. I then filed a TDR, regarding cancellation of my journey on the ground that my train was late. I then booked a general ticket and completed my journey in the 'Brahmaputra Mail'.
Now * days earlier I was notified that my TDR was registered and today I was informed that my TDR was repudiated on the ground that 'as per the chart, the passenger ( I ) has travelled.
Clearly it is one of those cases where the TTE must have done fraud and marked me present, whereas selling my seat to someone else at a higher price
Why is it that the corrupted always get away and it is us the general public that has to pay.
The train was late,
The TTE made extra bucks by fraud, and
I have to pay for it.
Why???
