This is to bring to your kind notice that I, Arijit Das, had purchased a pair of Size * (UK) brown colour Bata Ambassador shoes, bearing code ***-**** from your store at Diamond Plaza Mall, **, Jessore Road, Kolkata - ****** (store photograph attached for reference) for a consideration of Rs ****/- (plus Re. * for the polythene bag) on **th April ****, paid through credit card (details available).
While one would expect high durability and quality in products from a reputed company like Bata India Limited, the expensive shoes I purchased proved otherwise. The outsole of the pair I purchased came out during the second time I wore those (photos attached for reference). I have already visited the store and notified the same to the concerned manager (store visit photos attached).
I was in an important meeting and this caused me enormous amount of humiliation and embarrassment in front of the delegates. I was asked to leave the meeting and the humiliation was unbearable for me. I was traumatized and became ill from the humiliation it caused me. I was not able to go to office for several days which caused me a lot of financial problems. Finally, due to the humiliation caused to me because of your defective pair of shoes, I had to quit my job causing enormous amount of financial burden! On account of your aforesaid dereliction of duty and failure and neglect to rectify the same I have suffered losses and incurred expenses on cost of Shoes, Loss of pay, cost of medical treatment due to trauma and grief and enormous amount of financial loss caused to loss of job amounting to rupees *,**,*** (rupees five lac only) which you are liable to compensate to me.
