Ubereats - Charged for food not delivered

Unethical business practices coupled with the most pathetic customer support among delivery options in India. They only give template responses on social media and respond like mindless robots over chat/phone.

I placed an order on July **th around * pm making payment through card and the delivery driver just cancelled it without coming to my door but after reaching the gate of my apartment. Perhaps he made a hearty meal out of it, I was charged for his pleasure and was refused a refund or even a retry of the delivery.

I myself suffered from an empty stomach and tried to pursue a complaint through several avenues including calling them and the in-app help centre, even going above and beyond with proofs including attached screenshots of my call logs and even capture of successful delivery by dunzo at the same time. I only received the template "the delivery driver reached your location and tried to contact you but you were not available. Please make another order". The audacity lol!
Currently like a bunch of petty thieves they have closed my complaint without a satisfactory resolution. Zomato, Dunzo or Swiggy may have similar problems with their drivers but they usually don't tend to make such a hassle if you provide adequate proof.
I also complained to them on Twitter, Facebook etc but they keep repeating the same excuse, this is the reason I had to come here. ***s of other people seem to have similar complaints. These people are just scamming innocent people out of small sums of money like petty thieves and strict action should be pursued to stop such malpractices.
