I hd booked flight tickets for round trip from Patna to Delhi and from Delhi to Patna for the travel date **/**/** and **/**/** for the whooping sum of Rs.*****/-through Amazon Powered by Clear trip ( Clear trip is their travel Partner for which I received for which I received cash back of Rs/- *** as they running a offer at the time of booking. The flight from Delhi to Patna was through spicejet and from Delhi to Patna was through GoAir. Due to the lock down all the flights were by default cancelled. So I contacted Amazon for the refund as Spicejet has already initiated the refund from their end of Rs ****. They declined saying that they are not responsible for the bookings they just support clear trip,so clear trip should be contacted for the same. So I contacted clear trip for the same. They agreed to pay the refund after much huss-huss. (Actually when I contacted clear trip they told that
We checked with Spicejet to initiate the refund rather than credit shell as per your request. In order to process the refund for your journey from Patna to New Delhi dated ** April,****, cancellation has to be initiated.
Please initiate cancellation for your onward journey i.e for Spicejet from the Cleartrip app or website. Once you do that the refund will be processed in your account in maximum ** days. So I went to Amazon to check that but I could not find any passanger details... So I contacted clear trip for this. So they asked for these things.

Once you revert with the required details, we shall initiate with the cancellation.
In this way the cancellation was initiated from clear trip end .
Now when I contacted clear trip for my convenience fee they told that it is non refundable in this case....So I threatened them that I will file a complaint against them in the consumer court as I did not initiate the cancellation and the flights were by default cancelled... Then they agreed to give me back the convenience fee.
So the total amount which I should receive back is ****+****=**** without the deduction any cash back amount which I received from Amazon as a part of on going offer. But Amazon says that I will receive the amount only after deducting the cash back amount. When I asked them on what grounds will you deduct the amount as I did not initiate the cancellation myself. They told that the system is designed in such a way that it will deduct the amount automatically. Then I told them that I m myself a software engineer and I understand very well what happens with the system. Contradicting their previous statement they told that the cash back will be deducted according to the terms and condition. So I told them to show me the terms and conditions....All the terms and conditions are only applicable when the cancellation happens from consumer's end.... When I didn't initiate the cancellation from my end.... How will you deduct the cash back amount?How can they deduct the cash back amount? and I told them that I will drag them to consumer's court for non transperancy in their policies.
So they asked for **-** hrs to resolve this issue as they are discussing it with their concerned team.
After that the reply which came from their side it was like this
This is to keep you updated that we have checked the details with our team and they have confirmed that the cancellation has been initiated by the user end. Also we would like to inform you that the full refund has been initiated by the airlines; however if you have availed any cashback that will be deducted from the refund amount. So I want to ask how can they deduct the cash back amount as I received the amount as a part of Amazon's ongoing offer and secondly the cancellation was not initiated from my end as it was by default cancelled due to the nation wide lockdown...So I basically receive full amount back in to the original mode of payment without the deduction of any cash back which was received from Amazon.
