Complaint Summary:
I purchased a Whirlpool AC in April **** and since the very first week, I’ve been facing non-stop issues due to both a faulty AC unit and a fraudulent installation scam. Over the last * years, I’ve been mentally harassed, financially exploited, and emotionally drained. Despite filing multiple complaints and sharing complete proof, Whirlpool has done nothing except ignore, mislead, and delay. the total number of complaints would easily be ** or more, considering the technician visits, gas refills, and repeated failures over the last three years. ***+ Calls, ***+ Follow-Ups, But No Resolution

*. Faulty Product from Day One:
The AC delivered to me had hardware issues from the beginning.
Cooling coil has failed **–** times, replaced *–* times, yet the issue always returned.
Remote stopped working multiple times and was replaced after long delays.
Condenser coil repaired * times and replaced once, still didn't resolve the problem.
The product clearly had manufacturing defects, but no replacement was offered.
*. Installation Scam:
I clearly instructed the service team to install a single, joint-free copper gas pipe.
Despite this, they installed a **-meter pipe with at least * visible joints — a major compromise on safety and standards.
I was charged ₹**,*** for this, only to later find that the same pipe cost just ₹*,*** in the market.
This was a clear attempt to cheat and overcharge the customer.
*. Continuous Gas Leakage & Fire Risk:
Gas started leaking within a week of installation and never stopped.
A pipe with * joints is bound to leak.
I now realise I had a potential fire hazard in my house for * years due to this unsafe setup.
Thankfully, no accident happened, but this was life-threatening negligence on Whirlpool’s part.
*. Untrained Technicians, Wall Damage & Forced Charges (Even Under AMC):
Technicians sent were mostly unskilled, came without helpers, and damaged the wall where AC was installed.
No vacuuming of pipes, pipes were bent manually by hand, not using pipe benders.
Despite the product being under AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract), every technician tried to charge extra:
Claimed “coil coating” was done to prevent damage — but the coil failed again in **–** days.
Charged for replacing “flare nuts” and other parts unnecessarily.
Most of these charges were made without bills or justification.
*. ***+ Calls, ***+ Follow-Ups, But No Resolution:
I’ve made over *** calls to Whirlpool customer care and ***+ calls to their service center.
Whirlpool asked me to call the service center. Service center said to call Whirlpool.
I’ve waited up to ** minutes on calls, and I have screenshots and recordings as evidence.
Repeatedly had to explain the same issue hundreds of times.
*. Consumer Forum Ignored My Complaint Twice:
I filed formal complaints with the consumer forum twice, both backed with all proofs.
Yet both were closed saying “non-genuine”, by whirlpool without investigation or any explanation.
This has further encouraged Whirlpool to escape accountability.
*. Whirlpool’s False Promises & Silence:
In ****, Whirlpool told me “Next time if the AC fails, we will replace it.”
It failed several times since then — but no replacement ever happened.
I’ve emailed their grievance team multiple times — no reply for ** days at a time.
One representative even said: “We won’t do anything. Do whatever you want.”(call recording available)
*. Refusal to Share Service History:
I formally requested my AC’s service history multiple times.
Whirlpool promised to provide it within * days (recorded call proof available).
Later, they denied it, calling it an “internal matter” — which is a clear violation of consumer rights.
My Demands:
Immediate full replacement of the defective unit with proper installation.
₹**,*** refund for fake and overpriced installation.
Financial compensation for:
Mental trauma, health risk, and emotional damage
Safety hazard caused due to gas leaks
Time and productivity lost due to follow-ups and visits
Strict legal action against the service center and Whirlpool representatives involved in this scam.

This is no longer just a service issue. This is a serious consumer fraud, where Whirlpool delivered a faulty product, scammed me during installation, charged me illegally under AMC, and then mentally tortured me for * years. I request the concerned authority to investigate this matter urgently and ensure Whirlpool is held fully accountable.
