Continental Tyres - Tyre damage

I recently purchased an **-inch tyre from a Yokohama authorised dealer. Unfortunately, the tyre burst while driving after it struck a stone. As I did not have a spare tyre, I had to get it patched and had to travel.
When I returned to the dealer, I was informed that I would have to bear **% of the cost for a replacement, despite being told earlier that the tyre carries a *-year warranty. This important warranty information was not clearly communicated at the time of purchase.
