I regret as i sit down to write this email.
Purchasing a mi phone seems to be one of the biggest blunders in terms of the service experience for a phone & a waste of my time, energy, money.
Bought an mi mix * in the month of april **** which worked fabulously for three months. Suddenly started to notice the black spottings in the lcd screen. The lcd screen had developed "areas of black" which were extremely hard to spot. Time flew and thankfully the spots became darker. Finally, after visiting * service centers, the issue was resolved by v care, vile parle, mumbai & they offered a replacement.
Sad, i still took the replacement for the same. The same day as i was setting up my phone, i noticed the fingerprint sensor was unresponsive. After multiple hard resets & factory resets, i took to the service center again to find out the problem. Not to my surprise, the service center told me it's a hardware issue & that the phone will be replaced again for the second time.
The issue was logged and the service center advised to replace the handset.
I contacted the call center with calls ranging from one hour - two hours cumulatively. They advised that i take the replacement & that a refund is not in the realm of their policy.
Such a stringent myopic take on resolving a customer's issue behind a curtain facade of "policies & rules" is a cheap foly for a global company's stand.
I do not want a replacement from your company now. I want a refund of the money that i paid.
And now, surprisingly enough, mr. Manu kumar jain, mr. Lei, & the service team very cheaply choose to ignore such messages, conversations & emails to maybe avoid another deviation from the routine.
Pathetic! Simply pathetic!
