Aashit Sable filed complaint against Swiggy Bundl Technologies Pvt Ltd on Nov 21, 2024
I had ordered some food through Swiggy from restaurant Ratna Palace,
Matunga Road (West), Mumbai - ******. But during the checkout process,
my payment failed due to some technical error. So, the Swiggy was supposed
to keep my order on hold without placing it successfully because I did not
opt for "cash on delivery" (COD). It is natural for any business to NOT
register an order as 'successful' if a customer is trying to pay online and it
fails. But Swiggy placed it and automatically my payment mode was changed
to cash on delivery which I never opt because we don't get any discount or
cashback offer on COD payment. I opted to pay with Kiwi UPI where I was
supposed to get some discount, but after the order was placed, I tried to pay
online but even that offer wasn't there. So, it clearly shows that Swiggy
wanted to get full cash from me without letting me to use benefits of any
ongoing offer even after being an Swiggy One subscriber. If Swiggy says that
we don't want to waste any food, even my thoughts are same and that's why I
ordered the same dish through Zomato from the same restaurant. I even
called that restaurant and told him this issue and I said that the order which
was cancelled on Swiggy is placed on Zomato with same contents, so please
send that same food to me. Here, the food is not wasted. I have also attached
that Zomato's order receipt. So, I want Swiggy to remove the restriction
imposed on me to pay for this cancelled order because it was Swiggy's fault
where they placed an order even after my payment was failed.
