Samsung TV - Samsung TV Display Failure

I bought this TV on ** August ****, today, my TV display has Horizontal line on it, When I contacted Samsung, they sent a technician, he came and checked and said its more than * years so we the panel has to be changed which cost **,***. I really got upset as this was just over * years and we got a display problem. I requested samsung to change the pannel for no cost since it is only * years. They denied it. I have relatives whoes TV from other brands and sony has good display for * years now.
