I am filing this complaint against Reliance Digital for selling a defective product and deliberately denying a legitimate refund, despite providing all required and officially validated documents.
Product & Order Details:
Product: Apple AirPods (*nd Generation)
Order Number: RD*********E**C*D***
Seller: Reliance Digital
Issue Summary:
I received a faulty Apple AirPods unit, where the product was non-functional and defective. As instructed, I visited Apple iCare (Apple Authorized Service Center), where the product was examined and an official DOA (Dead on Arrival) letter was issued confirming the defect.
Key Facts:
The main product serial number (H**MRF**LX*Y):
Matches the invoice
Matches the Apple DOA / Service Letter
Matches the physical product (charging case & box)
Matches Reliance Digital’s own records
Despite this, Reliance Digital has wrongly rejected my claim, repeatedly citing an irrelevant serial number (H**MRA**JJNV), which Apple iCare has already clarified is not the governing serial number for DOA validation.
Harassment & Negligence:
I have shared all documents multiple times, including:
Apple DOA letter (PDF + email copy)
Product images with visible serial numbers
Invoice and box images
The issue has been dragged on for over one month
Reliance Digital finally stated this is their “final communication” without resolving the issue
This behavior amounts to:
Deficiency of service
Gross negligence
Mental harassment
An attempt to retain a customer’s hard-earned money despite a valid DOA
Relief Sought:
I request Voxya’s intervention to:
Direct Reliance Digital to accept the valid Apple DOA
Arrange immediate return pickup
Initiate a full refund of ₹****
Compensate for mental harassment and time loss
I have maintained full cooperation throughout and possess documentary proof from Apple supporting my claim.
