Priyal Agarwal filed complaint against British Council on Sep 9, 2021
I booked for an IELTS exam with British Council India on *th April **** and Paid fees for this on *th April **** i.e. Rs. ***** via ICICI bank challan slip which was available on their website. Later on ** April ****, they said the fee is Rs *****/- so I have to pay the remaining *** rupees which I immediately paid via the online payment link made available by them. The exam was scheduled on ** April **** but was postponed due to covid-** restrictions. It was rescheduled to ** May **** and again postponed and rescheduled to ** June ****. I decided to cancel this registration and requested them to refund my money. On **th June ****, I received a confirmation from British Council that my refund has been initiated and will be processed within * weeks. Upon completion of my * weeks period, I asked for the status of my refund and they said it will take more time for processing. Since then, they have been asking for more and more time, and Now, they say they have transferred all my details to IDP India and so I should contact IDP for further queries. I have been writing to IDP as well and they are also asking for more and more time. I have also placed a complaint with NCH but British Council is not responding to their emails as well. Also, I have lodged my complaint with IDP grievance cell but have not received any satisfactory response from their end as Well.
