Indigital - Refund not given.

My STB stopped working yesterday. I had made a payment just an hour before. So now as it has stopped working. So I don't want to pay for new STB. I demanded to cancel my subscription and refund me the amount I paid. I was told that as it's paid for whole * months and plan is activated refund cannot be given. I contacted the customer care and found out that only * month plan was activated. But still the cable operator is denying refund. And asking me to pay for a new box.
