Have gone for home interior consultation with homelane Bangalore and we are given brief about the services they offer and sample works dispalyed in the showroom
Initially they asked for high level requirements and made a rough sketch using a software tool
The initial estimate showed around *.* lacs and was asked to pay the **% to block the service.
I then expressed my concern over the cost after which they applied a **% discount to bring it down to *.* lacs without paying a visit to my actual flat. They pressurised to pay rs **k so as to become eligible for the discount. We paid it to start next process. One week gone due to lockdown then one person came for site measurement visit meanwhile have shared all the floor plan diagrams with the designer assigned to me. Designing team was helpful but they always convinced me to pick the standard boxes and configuration available with them to keep the cost low.finally designing phase completed with *d and *d diagrams of the interior components which had minimum basic cabinets,lofts, shelves, cupboards nothing customized or intricate in nature. Now the final estimate came around *.** lacs still I felt it was on the higher side as I have compromised on most of my requirements to fit in. When I asked for price optimization they said it cannot be done at this stage and I have to remove certain features added if at all I want to reduce price. Then I researched for more options in the market and could get competitive quotes for better material quality. When I went back to them they now said they can reduce a bit followed by multiple round of discussion by different managers in their team but things didn't workout. As well as in the meantime they sent out a mailer stating that due to covid situation ** day guarantee scheme which they promiser earlier will no longer be valid for all ongoing projects.Hence I chose to cancel my order but they asked me to chage my mind or and they cannot process refund. It's clearly mentioned on their terms and conditions that after design stage if the customer choose to cancel the order due to a policy change within ** hours through official communication they are eligible for ***%. Am ready to even forgo some part of the advance for designing efforts still no response from the team
