placed an order for biryani through Swiggy and paid ₹*** online. Despite the estimated delivery time being exceeded by over ** minutes, the delivery partner had not even reached the restaurant.
I attempted to contact Swiggy’s customer support via chat. After a **-minute wait, I was connected to a support executive who provided no resolution. When I tried to cancel the order, the automated system incorrectly stated that I would be charged a cancellation fee, despite the delay being on Swiggy’s end.
I then reached out through a phone call, where I was informed that only direct contact with customer support would address the issue. However, the problem remained unresolved. They unassigned the initial delivery partner and promised to assign a new one, but no further updates were provided.
During this period, a chat executive called me. I mentioned that I would accept a cancellation only if a double refund was provided. Without confirming this, she proceeded to cancel the order. When I expressed my intention to escalate the matter to the consumer forum, she abruptly ended the chat.
This experience has caused significant inconvenience and reflects poorly on Swiggy’s commitment to customer service
