Dear Voxya Team ,
I want your assistance on new issue with One Plus ( please refer below correspondence in relation the One Plus Open device heating issue ).
The phone is worth * lacs Rs and have a valid Insurance cover for which I paid Rs *****.
The phone is severely facing heating issue whilst recording video ,using calling apps using Zoom ,Google Meet and Whatapp calling.
The heating issue was so severe that I couldn't touch the phone and hence on *th April I had officially written to One plus to address this issue.
The requested me to submit the phone in service centre and after giving me the phone back after ** hrs they mentioned that there is no issue.
I took the phone and immediately on signing in the phone started heating up and I requested them to download the app basis which we can monitor the temperature and they downloaded Electron app .
I using zoom calling for texting and the call log was saved to observe the temperature in presence of One plus team , and within ** mins the phone temperature increased to **.* deg C and the battery drained from ** % to **% ...which is unusual.
I showed this to one plus team ( Krishna and Manager Sushant) and when they touched the phone they specifically addressed that this temperature is too much and please don't give this phone to your child as they understood the concern.
I repeatedly kept following up with them and explaining the things to everyone who called from one plus and finally the call was scheduled with technical team who apprised me that there is no issue with the phone.
I asked him about temperature,battery drain issue and on which he said there is no issue as phone was using camera and microphone.
So I asked him whether the phone is made for human usage and whether he would give this phone to his son and he answered that he would take precautions.
I have spent *.* lacs on this phone and has an insurance valid cover worth of Rs ***** and they want me to use the phone with this temperature issue ,just because technical team is forcing me to use this high temperature device.
I had to literally cry and keep explaining to them that this phone is of no use to me with this temperature and One plus team didn't care.
I want to take the legal action against them for the cheating ( not honouring the insurance coverage and addressing service properly ) , phone replacement or make good the loss and mental harrasment for so many days.
I look forward to hearing from you asap as I am leaving to Dubai on Monday *th May Morning.
