NAMAN filed complaint against Excitel broadband on Aug 28, 2025
I was a user of Excitel broadband under the name Geeta with User ID **********. On **.**.****, I requested termination of my broadband connection and refund of my security deposit.
On the same date, the ONT device (router) was collected from my premises by an official Excitel employee/local partner from Menakshi Broadband, Arya Pura Subzi Mandi, Delhi. At the time of collection, I was issued a handover slip, which proves that the device was returned to the company.
As per Excitel’s policy, the security deposit should have been refunded within the stipulated time (generally within a few weeks). However, even after * months, no refund has been credited to me.
I made repeated follow-ups with:
Excitel Customer Care: Multiple calls were made and several complaints were raised.
Ticket Numbers Raised: Multiple tickets have been generated regarding this matter. My current open ticket is No. ********, dated **.**.****, which is still unresolved.
Local Provider (Menakshi Broadband, Arya Pura Subzi Mandi, Delhi): They continue to deny any responsibility, refuse to refund the security deposit, and behave rudely.
This delay and denial amounts to deficiency of service and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, ****. The continued harassment has caused me both mental stress and financial loss.
Relief/Resolution Sought:
Immediate refund of my security deposit.
Written confirmation acknowledging my handover slip as proof of device return.
Action against the local service provider (Menakshi Broadband, Arya Pura Subzi Mandi, Delhi) for misbehaviour and denial of responsibility.
Compensation for delay and harassment caused by Excitel’s negligence.
