RedBus India - No refund given

I booked my ticket around *:** pm and when I tried cancelling the ticket at *:** before the cancellation window closing time which was at *:**
The cancellation window was already closed and i tried contacting the operator and when I asked them the customer care number they literally declined the number even without answering my query.
Tried calling the customer support the call didn't go through. When I called them back again all he was saying is we can't give refund.
When a person has to cancel due to unfortunate circumstances even before the cancellation window shown time and all they do is close the window beforehand.
These people are literally trying to rob their customers.
