Deepali tomar filed complaint against Orpat on Feb 8, 2024
I have already sent an email to Managing Director Mr. Himansu yesterday regarding the issue.
I being a proud Orpat consumer feels cheated, scammed and extremely frustrated writing this email.I have been mentally harassed by the Orpat retailer and service centre from last ** days for a brand new Orpat product purchased on **st December ****.
I had purchased a new Orpat room heater on **st December ****.While purchasing, the product had dust on it and one of the screw was loose. So, i insisted to get a different heater, but the retailer named Nisha Enterprises convinced me stating the product is brand new and he would take care of any issues if arose , since it was covered under warranty.I have attached the copy of bill and warranty card regarding the product purchase along with this email.
After one month, the product stopped working. When i contacted the retailer about the issue, he first started making excuses that the screw is loose and i might have opened the product or tried to get it repaired by someone. When i reminded him that the product had this loose screw while purchasing, he agreed and asked me to wait for a week to get it fixed by service centre.
Now, after ** days of following up multiple times, i received call from the service centre named Nitin Electricals, Navyug Market, Ghaziabad,wherein the technician named Zaheed, started arguing and said that the product wont be repaired under warranty and i would have to pay *** rupees to get it fixed. He kept on insisting that the product has been opened by someone. I requested him to let me speak to someone superior to him or the owner, he denied and said,they dont have time to speak with me. He said, he is the only authorized person in the service centre and kept on insisting to pay *** rupees to get it fixed.I think, this would be my last purchase of any Orpat or ajanta product.Both the retailer and service centre were dominating and said, i am free to escalate the matter to higher authorities as they dont care about it.The contact number of service centre is **********.
I feel cheated by the company now, how can a reputed brand like Orpat manufacture cheap quality products and deny ownership for it. How can the service centre and retailers deny ownership during warranty period?I have been mentally harassed from the last ** days. him
I humbly request you to help your customer in getting the product replaced as i wont accept any repair now along with compensation for mentally harrasing and cheating customers,failing to which, i would be compelled to file a legal complaint, highlight the issue in social media,consumer court and PMO.
