Club Mahindra Holidays - Misrepresentation of membership benefits denial of promised services and unfair trade practices

I received a call from Club Mahindra offering a free *-night holiday voucher if I visited their office on a weekend and attended a short **-minute session. I visited only to collect the voucher. During the session, they explained their membership. At first, I rejected the offer as it appeared too expensive. However, the sales agent convinced me by promising both domestic and international holiday vouchers along with the membership.
What Was Promised to Me:
*. Access to international properties including Maldives water villas if available in their inventory.
*. No restrictions on room categories.
*. RCI international bookings at a small fee of approx ₹*,***.
*. Domestic RCI stays free of cost.
*. Option to cancel the membership with a full refund if not satisfied after using the complimentary package.
What Actually Happened:
*. After taking the membership, I found that the RCI exchange fee was around ₹**,*** (* times of ₹*,***).
*. Premium rooms like water villas were not bookable at all.
*. Even domestic RCI stays required additional fees.
*. The promised vouchers and benefits were not provided in the way they were pitched.
My Actions:
*. Within a week of activation, I formally initiated request for cancellation and refund, once I realised I was mislead with false information.
*. I did not use any membership benefits.
*. I raised multiple complaints and escalations, but every time I only got the same copy-paste reply saying fees are non-refundable.
*. I even pointed to Mahindra’s own grievance redressal policy, but the support staff told me that no matter whom I contact, the response will remain the same.
Why This Is Unfair:
*. I was lured into the session with the promise of a free holiday voucher.
*. I was misled at the time of purchase with false assurances.
*. Promises made verbally were not honoured.
*. I was denied a proper grievance process.
*. Instead of resolving the issue, I was given repeated template replies.
