Lic Of India - Medical reimbursement from Jeevan Arogya of LIC

My car met with accident on **th December **** Madanpalli,near Bangalore and both the bones of my left hand got broken. On **.**.**** my hand was operated (under Employee Health Scheme of Government of Andhra Pradesh). On **.**.**** I got retired and shifted to Meerut. Even after about six months my bones did not join and I was suggested for another operation. I visited LIC office, Meerut and got my Jeevan Arogya Policy transferred from Andhra Pradesh to Meerut. Also I informed the LIC about my operation to be performed. I got operated on **.**.**** and I submitted the bills to LIC for reimbursement for Rs.******/- after submitting the other information sought by them I was paid about Rs.*****/- only for daily room charges for hospitalisation. I visited the Claim Department of LIC Divisional Office, Saket, Meerut. I was told that since this has happened due to accident and injury caused by accident is not covered in the Jeevan Arogya health Insurance. My submission is that when initially it happened, it was operated but not claimed from LIC. Now, the second time cause of operation is the failure of first operation and not the accident. Secondly, if you apply the same logic cancer etc are also accidental and no one invites such problems by own will. Thus, I feel that my bill for operation, medicines and implants should also be reimbursed.
