I have bought a Lenovo laptop (ideapad ***) from Sri-lanka in November ****. After couple of months the device’s monitor started to flicker it is not regular but it is very annoying specially that it was increasing with time. I contacted the support page on Facebook and every email address I can find on the website searching for solution. After long chat with the support page, they came to conclusion that the problem is a hardware one, and that I have to go to the service center. I work in Maldives, which has no service center unlike what I have been told by the seller. I had to take a vacation to go to Sri-Lanka where I have been told that they check my device and if it need spare parts I have to wait for them to be shipped from India. After checking they said it was just a loose wire and it is O.K now. After returning to Maldives the same problem had returned back. This device is expensive comparing to my budget and I was looking forward professional highly performing device. I have had to go through many links and contacts to find a guidance with my problem. I cannot find decent service center to benefit from the warranty. The one in Sri-Lanka was a joke, they have no spare parts and I have to wait for a week to get parts from India. so I have to take a week vacation and to fly round trip to Lanka to have my device fixed for just few weeks. now, I can't take any further vacation and I am stuck with this device despite its problem.
again I tried to contact UK support service and after * weeks disccusions and emails they referred me to Sri-lanka supprot, and -as usuall- with any trial to conact them the aswer was an email ( shows in a huge number of internal referals between employees) they asked me where I am (which indecates that they haven't read the complaint)... I answered Maldives and that was it no further response for a * weeks I sent many emails afterwards and an Indian support againt asked me to contact him on whats app, yet he didn't answer me also.
in short I have an awful experience for alsmost * moth. no help, no practicle solution or considration for my circumstances.
I bought this device because of the ghood name of Lenovo and a good experience with my older device; however, when I needed support I faced neglicance and really unrespectful treatment.
I want to file a complaint against Srilanka service center, and I want a practicle help
