Urban Company was used for replacement of my Dell inspiron screen. The technician visited my home and said that he needs to take the laptop for replacing the screen. I asked him if he could not do it here, he said it needs to be done in the workshop as they use different gum and will take some drying time etc. He took the laptop and next day he called and said that the new screen is also not working due to another component failure (IC), which he ordered and will take a day to get the component. I believed in him and he took about * days to bring the laptop back. On next day I figured that the laptop inbuilt camera is not working, which was working well when the technician took the laptop. I called the technician next day about camera not working and he asked us to check drivers etc and then we reverted back that all checks are done, but hardware is not recognizeable. He said he will come in the evening and check and like that he kept postponing * days. I then raised a complaint back with UC and the customer support says that it is not covered under warranty as the replacement was done for screen and not camera. The argument that camera was damaged by UC technician while changing the screen is not agreed by UC stating that their technician loaded a video of his job where he said that camera is not working. This is the pure lie, as if it is truely not working at that time, technician would inform the customer and ask for additional quote, which he did in case of IC and also he would never ask us to do driver updates if hardware is damaged. Raised with customer support multiple times but they are adamant and make my complaint as 'resolved' saying that it does not cover in their warranty. Another senior technician visited and he clearly stated that the camera and its related ribbon is damaged/cut, which sits behind the screen and could be accessed only after removing the screen.
