I took a ride from a mall to my house on **th July **** distance is approximately **km after chosen Paytm as a payment mode.
We started moving towards our destination. On the way Driver told me that uber's driver app isn't functioning properly like map and online payment... my own payment of ****rs has-been denied by the company, while my daily earnings are lesser than this....
Talking about different issues we reached to our destination... He showed me the receipt of somewhat *** RS I told him that I have selected Paytm as a payment mode. He told me that payment will not be deducted from your account and driver kept on waiting at my door step for ** to ** minutes finally I paid him cash in round figure after checking the Paytm wallet balance I couldn't watch the receipt on my phone....
As the driver left my place msg piped up on my screen from uber that ** has been charged for ride cancellation. In a hurry after calculating fare which was costing me for ***+ went back to the app and pressed that driver had cancelled the ride.
Than i realised i was conned either by uber or by driver.... After a struggle I could file a complaint in random section of uber's help section which neither is user friendly nor my case was listed there...So I also filed it on twitter's DM.. I asked for my lost amount at every platform in form of compensation or in form of reward to pointing out a loop hole in there service as they and reply came after *-* days every time they denied for any possibility of such case, by saying there driver are professional and well trained and you haven't taken any ride by uber.....
When I presented some possible clues they realised that it is their mistake either of software or of driver or of both they reached back to me that we are sorry that this happened to you..... But due to our policy we can't refund any amount why you paid it in cash....
