Homelane Interiors - Interior Project Order Cancellation and Refund Request

I booked interior design services for my * BHK flat in Pune with HomeLane, Baner Office, Pune on *rd August **** and paid an advance of ₹**,***.
Despite the payment, no site visit, measurement, or interior design work was carried out. There were no meetings or discussions with the design team, and no materials were procured or on-site work initiated.
Due to the complete lack of progress and my relocation out of the city, I cancelled the project on *st January **** and requested a refund. Since no services were rendered at any stage, I requested a full refund of the booking amount.
It is also important to note that no services can realistically be initiated within ** hours of booking, which effectively results in customers losing their booking amount if they cancel after this period, even when no work has commenced.
However, the company denied the refund citing a “**-hour clause” in their terms and conditions. This is unreasonable, as no work was initiated even months after booking, and no services can realistically begin within ** hours. It is also important to note that no services can realistically be initiated within ** hours of booking, which effectively results in customers losing their booking amount if they cancel after this period, even when no work has commenced.
This appears to be an unfair business practice, where advance payments are retained without service delivery. I request a full refund of ₹**,*** and appropriate action against the company.
