I was in lonavala for two day trip in first week of august ****.
We didn't like our hotel so we wanted to change it. We were searching hotels and came across a guy. Same story scratch gift card and win. Out of curiosity we listened what they were telling.
They started showing us dreams of luxurious hotels (** or **k per night) for free of cost. They had kept branded hotel names on their banner.
One of the hotel was holiday inn.
I asked them about holiday inn hotel dubai, do I get it. They told yes and for free of cost.
They said we will get free pick up and drop within city limits.
If we didn't like their hotel we can select other hotel with small fee.
They offered ** weeks Holiday for ** years.
Everything was very lucrative and eye catching till we made payment of ******.
We booked hotel for one night in lonavala through their membership. They gave us good hotel for that one day.
The real story started when I went back to my home.
I enquired them about hotels in Andaman. They gave list of hotels whose per night price is *k to maximum *k. I felt why should I take their membership for these kind of hotels. I enquired about holiday inn dubai hotel. He said it will come under specific brand and we have to pay extra. This was eye opening for me. I realised we are duped. Because I clearly remembered asking their executive of holiday inn dubai hotel, for which their executive had told me I will get it for free. Regarding free pick up and drop service he changed his words and said if the hotel people provide it he will not tell no.
At this moment I was scratching my head, who is he to tell no if the hotel people are providing it.
I asked for refund within three days of taking it. They have become professional liars now. First he said there is no cancellation or refund. Then I showed him their cancellation policy available on online. For which he said OK but you can't avail it because you have already used it for one day. I said I will pay that one day amount but refund my money.
Then he said i am nobody to refund you contact head office.
Head office people once contacted they simply hear our grievances and then they ask us to give some time and they will get back to us. But they are are not calling back.
So this is my story.
I don't know how to proceed now.
