Symphony Resorts - Hotel Booking Refund

I booked rooms at Symphony resorts (http://symphonyresorts.com/) through Agoda.com. As per the booking confirmation, the resorts can collect the amount at any time, but no cancellation fee will be changed if canceled before * days of arrival. I transferred the booking amount from my bank account to SymphonyResorts bank account on **th Oct after talking to resort staff. Unfortunately, I have to cancel the bookings today due to some travel issues at my end. I requested the resort to refund the amount after the cancellation on the *th Dec. Now they are refusing to refund the money.
