DEBASHIS DAS filed complaint against Hdfc Bank on Jun 9, 2019
I have my salary account in this bank. On that basis executives called me again & again for credit card and other offers. I was not interested for another credit card as i already have * cards from other banks. But as the executive committed me that the card is life time free as the bank is offering against my salary account. So i agreed for the card, but after receiving the card i had not yet activated the card, but received a message for a bill due of Rs **** after * months. When enquired they told me this card is not free and its annual membership fee is Rs **** and GST ***. Then i complained in detail to customerservices.cards@ hdfcbank.com regarding the issue and requested them to block the card as it was been issued against wrong commitment. But there reply was just a joke. They replied me that the amount involved is the membership fee of the card, except this there was nothing about my issue. And on the due date the amount was deducted from my account through auto debit and i also not stopped to save my CIBIL.
This is the way they are cheating in the name of life time free credit cards.
