Vikash filed complaint against Hdfc Bank on Sep 16, 2018
Hello,
My name is Vikash Das, i have raised a request to Hdfc Bank dated *th of August, to close my credit card (ending with ****) registered mobile no. ********** by sending credit card closure form to Chennai address.
After regular follow-up with customer service, i was assured it will be done within a week and it was already in temporary blocked state. Meanwhile, i found out that Hdfc has generated Annual renewal charge of ***rs+tax on my credit card. I again called customer service who assured me its system generated and will be waived once credit card closure is done.
After few days, we got a message from Hdfc bank ''Dear Customer, your recent written request on the credit card ending **** could not be processed.Details being sent -hdfcbank'' dated **th August. But no details was sent either on my registered mobile number or my registered e-mail id.
After calling customer service again, i was said the application was not processed due to signature mismatch.
Customer service then told me to send '' signature mismatch form in new signature along with new credit card closure form in new signature and an application to waive my annual charge'' i was given reference number as *********** for the purpose.
I did the same and sent all * documents together in an envelope on *nd Sept. I got message on **th Sept that document was received and its under process.
However, on **th Sept i again got a message quoting '' Dear Customer, your recent written request on the credit card ending **** could not be processed.Details being sent -hdfcbank"
Again i got no details on my registered mobile number or email id. So, i called the customer to know the status.
I was shocked to hear that my signature was again mismatched. How it is possible that my signature has mismatched, when i have sent both the documents together with same signature.
Its already more than * month and my credit card is not closed. Also i am charged for Annual renewal fee of ***rs. Is this justified?
I have lost all my faith on Hdfc Bank now. I feel being cheated. I never thought it will take these much effort to just close my credit card.
I am attaching the images of documents i sent on *nd September for you reference.
Please resolve this issue.
