I purchased byju's course for my nephew in March **** for class Xth (Aman Singh). Post purchasing the course my family was hit by covid and we cld nt send the tablet/study material to our nephew who does not live with us. We requested a refund within ** days of purchasing (being told that no question asked refund policy). We did not get a call from them regarding cancellation and we had to follow up *** times since our EMI started to get deducted. Despite *** follow ups we finally managed to speak to someone from retention team who insisted on speaking to the child which was not possible as he did not live with us, we explained to them that it was a gift that we could not give and half the year has passed so we want a refund. The people at byjus are trained to speak in the worse possible manner after the client makes the payment. I was asked for numerous documents which I do not think were necessary to be provided bcs if we did not want to keep we did not want to keep and we cant be forced to keep it. The team started talking to us in a very rude tone and always said we will get back to you but never got back, we asked for change for manager and they gave us even worse some girl name Saumya who had simply no sense of how to talk, these people are worse than credit card goons. Then I humbly requested an additional year i.e class**th to be given as *th was of no use to the child bbut never recd any calll back despite us making ** calls a day and only reply we got was we will get back. It has been a year now I have been paying EMI's and sick and tired of follow ups and byju's asking for endless documents and unfortunately in the second wave of covid we have been hit y a job loss and are not in a position to carry this load. I would like to sue this company who claims to be very supportive to employees for covid as they are hypocrites who just make fool of people in name of education, this company should be banned for fraudulent activities that they do and loot the tier * city people who have big dreams for their kids, they are playing with people's money and dreams. I have emails to support my complaint with time and date stamp and request them to return my money along with harrasment claim for listening to bullshit that their team talks.
