Seems to be the latest scam by Flipkart. They offer a higher price for the exchange of phone much higher than Amazon or any other online portal. Flipkart doesn't check phone condition or anything online as other online portal does. Flipkart has very simple guidelines to misguide you and nothing technical like Amazon or any other online portal. So I was offered a better price for my phone. The delivery guy came to deliver the phone and take my current phone in exchange which is currently in use.
Delivery guy refuses to take my phone for a very minor scratch and asks me to complain about customer care and agrees with me that phone is perfectly fine. In fact, he would like to buy for himself but even exchange price is not in his budget. If he takes the phone in exchange then the company will stop his salary and will deduct the exchange price as they have been trying to find such reasons from the last couple of months. Basically to block their salaries so either Flipkart will con/scam the consumer or make the last person in the chain the delivery boy pay for it.
On his suggestion, I filed a complaint at Flipkart customer care and he promised to return with the solution in * working days. I suggested to cancel at that moment but he asked me to wait and informed me that usually they do take the phone in return and will reply in less than one working day. It's just for the sake of it they take * working days.
Next day another delivery boy kept on calling me. I thought by now they must have resolved the issue but some way or the other they kept on delaying and later asked me for pictures. Then again kept on delaying and never gave any confirmation. It's been almost * days now and they are not ready to inform when they will return my money and have blocked my money for the past * days. They have been sending me notifications that I can take my new phone by paying the exchange value of my current phone and today I have been informed that till then they will keep my money blocked for another ** to ** days or else I should pay more (full amount of product) as they'll charge extra either way, they will win and make consumer suffer.
I have been in conversation with many customer executives of Flipkart. Finally was escalated to a senior executive named Arpita from junior executive named Divya. No one was so arrogant and rude except Arpita. She was not only arrogant and rude but was very well aware of the wrongdoings and scam being run by Flipkart. I was very disappointed by her for not providing information in spite of that she was full of arrogance and rudeness.
In an offer through Amazon, I was offered approximately *** Rs less than Flipkart that is why I choose them. But now the scheme is over and Flipkart wasted my precious time still keeping my money blocked. Finally not only refused but till now have not confirmed the time for returning my money.
I have all the recordings of final conversations and would like to take legal action against them for scamming their consumers by blocking their money that too at the time of internet and online banking where the money is exchanged and returned in a matter of seconds or by making their consumers pay extra for their products. As it took me * days and numerous conversations, notifications and email to understand their scam. It is important that publically consumers should be made aware of their scams of false advertisement and their cunning ways of blocking consumers money for a good long time or making them pay extra in the end.
My money is still blocked and cannot buy my phone from any other portal till I get my money back. Their cancellation policy says I can cancel it before the product is delivered but now they are not giving that option also. They have not delivered any product yet. Such scamming companies should be banned and internet users should completely boycott these fraudsters.
Attaching pictures of that particular phone running in perfect condition and one can see screen and body is perfectly fine but still they refused to take in exchange and blocked my money for no reason. They lure consumers by fraudulent advertisement with the inflated price for used phones and later will refuse to accept that phone in exchange without any justified reasons and with some fake reasoning will keep the money blocked for good ** to ** days at least or will make you pay the full amount.
If they block money of thousands of their consumers for thousands of their products they are definitely earning very huge interests or else money by charging extra from consumers, basically running a huge scam.
