Gyan Dixit filed complaint against Just Dial Ltd on Nov 3, 2018

I was scheduled to shift home on **th of October this year and so was looking for some movers and packers service providers. For this I contacted Just Dial and requested them to share few vendors. The executive shared few contacts. Soon after the call ended, I started receiving call backs from service providers. After discussions and negotiations, I chose one company namely Devine Packers And Movers with registered address ** Yerana Palya, RM Nagar, Bangalore ******. One of the company executives namely Varun called me and assured me of home shifting service at the best rate. When I inquired about company's location, he said the company operates all over the country and has one branch office in Sector **, Dwarka, New Delhi. He convinced me with his words and booked my date of shifting. I also received an SMS confirmation with all the details making the entire modus operandi genuine. Then, he asked me deposit some advance (minimum **** bucks) to confirm the appointment. He asked me to transfer the money thru Paytm or JD account. I agreed and paid Rs. **** as advance. Thereafter, I was staying in peace thinking the hassle of finding good movers and packers was over. But, this is where the problem began. A day before the scheduled date, I tried to call him to check the status. Despite of numerous attempts I could not talk to him as his number was going switched off. Then, I tried two other numbers (********** & **********) listed on JD portal/app but to no avail. Then, I contacted JD to complain about it. However, to my surprise, JD customer care did not do anything except transferring my call from one department to another department. They behaved as if I was a fool.
I tried to locate a customer care email id so that I could escalate this issue but they don't have any complain mechanism in place either. In this exercise, I landed on this website and thought to raise the issue here hoping a resolution to my grievance.
Please look into this and help me get my money back, if possible. I am planning to file a consumer case at the end.
