care Health insurance company - Formal Complaint Regarding Unjust Termination of Policy in Care Health Insurnace

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am submitting this complaint against Care Health Insurance regarding the unjust termination of my health insurance policy and the severe mental and financial distress caused to me and my family.

We had transferred our policy from National Insurance to Care Health Insurance on **th September ****, valid until **nd September ****, and renewed it on **nd August ****, ensuring continuous coverage from **rd September **** to **nd September ****.

Unfortunately, the insured person was hospitalized on **st September **** due to high fever. At this critical time, instead of providing support, Care Health Insurance terminated the policy, citing non-disclosure of an angiogram test conducted around ten years ago.

It is important to note:

The angiogram was negative, and there has been no history of heart disease.

We genuinely did not recall or consider the angiogram as a major medical test at the time of taking the policy, as it did not indicate any health issue.

Even now, all medical reports including the discharge summary and *D Echo confirm there are no heart-related problems.

This decision by the insurance company came at a time when I was under immense emotional and financial pressure. I was taking care of my father during his hospitalization, managing medical expenses, and struggling to arrange funds for his treatment. Despite being a loyal and proactive policyholder who renewed the policy well before expiry, the company failed to stand by us in our most difficult time.

The sudden policy termination not only caused severe mental stress and financial burden, but also shattered our trust in the insurer. Health insurance is meant to provide relief during emergencies, not add to the trauma of families already in distress.

In view of these facts, I request the Consumer Court’s kind intervention to:

Direct Care Health Insurance to reinstate the policy with immediate effect.

Approve and settle the pending claim related to the hospitalization on **st September ****.

Compensate for the mental agony, financial strain, and harassment caused due to the wrongful termination and denial of rightful coverage.

All relevant documents, including the policy details, renewal confirmation, discharge summary, and medical reports, are enclosed for reference.

I sincerely hope that justice will prevail and that such unfair treatment will not be repeated for other customers in similar situations.
