Dmart - Formal Complaint Regarding Theft Incident and Staff Negligence at DMar

I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding a serious incident that occurred at your [Location] D-Mart store on [Date].

I lost my wallet within the store premises, and I reported it immediately — within *–* minutes of the incident. However, despite the urgency, your staff showed an unprofessional, careless, and uncooperative attitude. It took over *.* hours of argument and unnecessary delay before we were finally allowed to check the CCTV footage. This delay was completely avoidable and allowed the culprits — a couple involved in the theft — to leave the premises undetected.

When your senior staff finally intervened and permitted us to check the CCTV footage, we were able to identify the thief within * minutes. The delay directly led to the escape of the offenders, making recovery of my stolen items difficult or impossible.

This incident has caused me not only financial loss but also emotional distress, time wastage, and complete harassment due to staff negligence. Such behavior from a reputed retail store is unacceptable.

I request the following:

*. Compensation for the financial and emotional loss caused by the staff’s inaction and negligence.
*. Immediate action and training for your staff to handle such sensitive situations with urgency and professionalism.
*. Confirmation that this matter is being investigated seriously, and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.

If I do not receive a satisfactory response within * working days, I will be forced to escalate this matter further, including:
• Filing a complaint with the Consumer Forum
• Reporting the matter to local police
• Posting the details of this harassment on social media and review platforms to warn other customers.

I hope D-Mart takes this matter seriously and resolves it responsibly.
