We have reserved Indigo flight group ticket of * of us from Varanasi to Chennai which will start from Vaanasi on **th March **** and PNR number is VWICPG which costed **,***. On **th March **** morning we accessed our flight tickets but by the time we reached Varanasi Airport and opened the ticket online for webcheckin, we were surprised to see that tickets were cancelled. It was a shocking thing that tickets were cancelled all of a sudden and none of us who were going to travel didn't give permission to Indigo for cancellation. We never got any email or OTP or call for confirmation for ticket cancellation.
We called Indigo customer care immediately to ask the reason for cancellation of tickets. They informed us that our travel agency have cancelled our tickets. We booked tickets through an agency who are linked to akbartravelsonline.com. Indigo said that Akbar Travels online have cancelled our tickets. When we asked Akbar Travels Online why they have cancelled, surprisingly they denied the statement and said they didnot cancel our tickets. Later we tried many times calling both the parties for a resolution but no one have provided proper resolution. When I call Indigo they will throw the blame on Akbar Tavels Online and When I call Akbar Travle Onlines they never properly respond.
Since we don't have time on that day as the flight is scheduled for departure on **th March **** at *PM. If we miss the flight then all of us who were travelling will have problems in our daily routine and there are many other problems we have to face as some of us have offices and some of us will loose their business. So there were no options left for us apart from booking the same flight again at a cost of **,*** rupees for * of us as my mother didnot travel/come with us. And the pnr of flight ticket for **,*** is YIM*GY
When we asked Indigo how can they give permission to some unknown person to cancel our tickets without any of our permission to cancel the tickets, they could not answer it and as a mistake from their end they only refunded ***** rupees to Akbar Travels Online in form of credits but not in form of currency to account or in cash to us. Now we are still at a loss of **,*** extra after removing **,*** from **,***. I am seeking a refund of ***** for flight ticket loss and **** for filing a case on Indigo through voxya either in form of currency to account or in cash handed over to us. The refunded amount of ***** is not still completely credited to our account as Indigo provided to Akbar Travels online in form of credits and not currency. We received only ***** in form of currency till date. So in total I am seeking *****+****= **,*** and out of ***** refunded amount we received only ***** in currency till now so I want the remaining to be credited in form of currency as soon as possible.
So in total *****+*****=***** is the amount that we still need to receive. We had to suffer mentally due to this chaos and we need an extra ***** rupees along with ***** rupees as a penalty for giving permission to unknown without the permission of travellers for cancelling the tickets. What would have happened if my father or grandfather who were coming with us got heart attack due this sudden issue so we seek penalty for mental agony and suffering.
