I had booked a Maruti Suzuki Ciaz from Spectra Motor
Showroom in Borivali (East), Mumbai Maharastra India in the year August ****, in
exchange of my Swift Car number ‘MH**CH***’ by paying and advance of Rs.***** and
balance amount of Rs. *,**,*** (The payment proof has been attached below).
The car was delivered to us after almost a month after the payment was made on ** August
****. Upon taking the car from the showroom along with Showroom designated driver, the
car started showing problem in the left front tyre the minute it was out of showroom.
Immediately a technician was called by the designated showroom driver and upon checking it
was confirmed that the car was not in workable and deliverable situation.
The car was taken back to the workshop. The Branch manager of Borivali branch showroom
Mr Shakil Ahmed (at the time in Sept ****) assured us that the car will be repaired and given
to us.
After confirming the repairs and compliances, the car was delivered back to us on *nd
September ****. Not even a week into it, the car produced the same noise as it did on the
first day. The technician named Mr.Haji Khan was called again from the Maruti Suzuki
dealer (Spectra Motors Showroom) and he took the car back, accepting the defect on *th
September ****.
The car was attended to and returned back to our door step on *th September **** by the
same technician Mr. Haji khan who accepted that many Ciaz models were facing the same
problem regarding the "bush". Assurance was given that the car was now completely ok and
there won’t be any complaints for the same noise issue.
Unfortunately again on **th September ****, the issue was not resolved and the car
continued to produce irregular noise. It’s quite sad and appalling that the car was not checked
thoroughly and delivered to us with utmost confidence and assurance.
After the third time of receiving the wrongly manufactured car, we requested the dealer to
exchange the car with a new car as we had duly paid for a brand new car and not a car with
faulty making and multiple repairs done. The showroom dealer (Spectra Motors) in spite of
repeated pleadings and requests, did not approve for the exchange of the car and infact
threatened us to charge the parking charges on a daily basis if we did not collect the faulty car
from the showroom. We requested for the vehicle to be exchanged on genuine grounds of
repeated car failure as it is fatal to human life.
After receiving no co-operation with the Spectra Motors Showroom team, we were
compelled to put a case on the company in the consumer court via the case number
‘CC/**/***’
Today, even after * years of case hearing in the consumer court, the matter still lacks closure.
The car is still with the Spectra Motors owner Mr. Bharat Bhusan Gupta in his premises and
he is unwilling to help on the given condition.
Being a customer to such a reputed company like Maruti Suzuki for over ** years, we did not
expect this sort of customer service wherein the customer is running behind and following up
with you on a continuous basis. This is really unacceptable and shocking. We buy a vehicle
for convenience and certainly not to follow up for the defects on a constant basis. Excused
once, but certainly not after continuous break down of the car.
I do hope that I have made myself clear about the seriousness of the situation and hope you
understand the gravity of my concern and hope that you shall intervene with your dealer
partner “Spectra Motors” on this matter as I look forward to settling this matter amicably
