Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding my recent visit to Burger King on **/**/**** at Rajiv Chowk metro station, New Delhi(Inside metro station). Despite advertising a promotional offer of "* Pizza Mac Puff for ₹**" on your mobile application and at the store too, I was charged ₹** for the same order.
Upon inquiry, the restaurant staff claimed that the offer was no longer valid, despite being displayed as active on the application. This constitutes a clear violation of consumer rights, specifically:
*. Section *(*)(r) of the Consumer Protection Act, ****: "unfair trade practice" defined as "a trade practice which, for the purpose of promoting any goods or services, adopts any unfair method or deceptive practice."
*. Section * of the Consumer Protection Act, ****: Prohibition of unfair trade practices.
I request:
*. A full refund of the excess amount charged (₹** - ₹** = ₹**).
*. Compensation for mental agony and distress caused by the misleading advertisement.
To support my claim, I have attached:
*. A screenshot of the promotional offer on the Burger King application.
*. My receipt for the transaction.
I expect a prompt response and resolution within * working days. Failure to address this issue will compel me to seek legal recourse.
