I ordered a Casio G-Shock GBM-**** from Myntra for ₹**,*** (MRP ₹**,***) expecting a genuine product. Unfortunately, what I received was a counterfeit watch.
After reporting the issue, Myntra initiated an exchange. However, the replacement I received was also fake. I raised the complaint again, and another exchange was arranged. Shockingly, the third replacement was fake as well.
This cycle has now continued until the *th exchange attempt, and every single watch delivered so far has been counterfeit. Receiving fake products repeatedly cannot be a coincidence. It strongly suggests that counterfeit inventory is being circulated through the supply chain.
Because I anticipated that some people might claim that I swapped the product myself, I made sure that every delivery was video recorded and opened in front of the delivery agent. All these videos have already been posted on Twitter and submitted to consumer forums, along with Myntra’s team for verification.
This issue is no longer just about getting a refund or a replacement. The larger concern is that these fake watches appear to be taken back and sent to other customers again, which means many buyers may unknowingly be receiving counterfeit products.
I purchased this watch because I had been planning to buy this model for a long time and had even seen the original at a Casio store earlier, so I know exactly how the genuine watch should look and function. The counterfeit pieces I received are easily identifiable due to poor finishing, incorrect back casing, and missing or non-functional features such as Bluetooth connectivity, which should be present in this model.
This situation raises serious questions about product authenticity checks, quality control, and consumer protection on the platform.
