HYUNDAI - EPS Motor

I have a **** model Hyundai Verna. For the last six months, my steering wheel began to produce a rubbing noise and slowly the steering became tight. So I showed it to the Hyundai service center where they told me that the EPS motor is damaged and it has to be replaced. It's a pity that such a reputed company like Hyundai is careless in designing EPS motors which actually should stay damage-free for at least ** years.
