Vijay Jagannathan Thirumalai Parthasarathy filed complaint against Make My Trip on Sep 14, 2023
I have been having a long standing issue for the past * months. I will summarize the issue and problem at hand first followed by make my trip’s customer support, which has been absolutely shit.
Issue:
*. I had booked a round trip flight for my parents from Chennai -> Austin (for July **th - Nov **th) via MMT on April *nd, ****. The total cost of the ticket is INR *,**,***
*. The booking ID is: NN*FEPIK*QV*RMOW****
*. On May **th, **** - I received an email from MMT saying my flight (both to and fro) was cancelled by British airways and that I can request for a refund
*. On June *st, **** - I raised a refund request via MMT platform and also got an acknowledgement email for the same and I even got an SMS with this support request ID - *****************
I called up British airways and asked them what’s going on. They told me that MMT held the booking for too long and that’s why the ticket was cancelled. The flight was operational though.
I called back MMT customer care and gave this information (which MMT could have done, since all it took me was just ** mins to do this and the executive even sent me an email saying he’ll get back in ** hours. I have called Make my trip customer care multiple times with the following support tickets, yet the only response is that we are waiting to hear back from the airline etc etc.
To top it off, I been in touch with multiple support executives via the twitter handle (MakeMyTrip Care) since aug **rd and these fools haven’t even read my complaint entirely and tell me “Any refund on the ticket is at the sole dissection of the airline. We tried out best however the refund is still pending from the airline”.
I’m absolutely raging as to how they don’t even read my query fully and that they’re responsible for sending me the email to cancel.

My two years of blood & sweat got valued finally with Voxya. I got a full refund with no hustle after they received notice.
